Farhan Akhtar: Not Important to Hang On to Six-Pack

Actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar, who
built six-pack abs for his latest release
"Bhaag Milkha Bhaag", says he doesn't
feel it is necessary to retain the physique
as every film may not require him to look
like a "body builder".

"I'm not a body builder. This (the body)
was prefect for the role (in 'Bhaag Milkha
Bhaag') and that's why I thought I should
do it. But every role has it's demands and
it is important to understand that you
don't want to look the same in every film," the 39-year-old said here at a press
conference held for the success of the
recently released movie.

"I try to mould as much as I can. It felt
great to be feeling fit and healthy and if
there is something again which demands
me to to do it (get such a physique) again,
I would gladly do it. But I don't feel it's
important to hang on to this, it was for a purpose," he added.

"Bhaag Milkha Bhaag", directed by
Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, narrates the
journey of former athlete Milkha Singh.
Farhan plays the 'Flying Sikh' in the
movie, and he has earned rave reviews
for his performance.

Talking about the learnings and
memories he has of working in the
movie, Farhan said: "It has been an
important and enjoyable experience. But
we are still very close to it and only time
will tell what memories it leaves behind, what we learn from the experiences."

He says the "manifestation of the
experience happens after some time",
but for now he is "only happy that people
are liking it".
