D-Day Gets A U/A Certificate

The Indian Censor Board has issued
Nikhil Advani's D-Daya U/A certificate after suggesting minor cuts. The decision
was passed following a meeting with the
Censor Board and the Revision
Committee.

Slated for a July 19th release D-Day is a
espionage thriller about four R&AW
officials – Wali Khan (Irrfan Khan), Rudra
Pratap Singh (Arjun Rampal), Zoya
Rehman (Huma Qureshi) and Aslam
(Akash Dahiya) who are sent to Pakistan by the Indian Government to capture
India's Most Wanted Terrorist (Rishi
Kapoor).

Director Nikhil Advani is very pleased
with the Censor Board's decision. "The
Censor Board suggested minor cuts that
do not disturb the sanctity of the film.
The cuts primarily tone down certain
violent portions of the film keeping in mind younger audiences. That was
something that the Censor Board was
particularly keen on and given that we
specifically want to take this movie to
the younger generation we were more
than happy to accommodate the cuts. Overall, I'm very happy with the Censor
Board's decision," says Advani.

Produced by DAR Motion Pictures and
Emmay Entertainment, and co-produced
by Essel Vision Productions, D-Day
features Rishi Kapoor, Irrfan, Arjun
Rampal, Huma Qureshi, Shruti Haasan,
Akash Dahiya, Nassar, Chandan Roy Sanyal and Sree Swara, amongst others.
