biggest hit of her career with her former
beau Ranbir Kapoor. Their 'Yeh Jawaani
Hai Deewani' has nearly touched the 200-
crore figure at the box office and her
chemistry with Ranbir is being touted as one of the reasons for its
mega success.
It is no secret that she is very fond of her
ex boyfriend-turned-good friend Ranbir
but at the IIFA Awards held at The
Venetian Macao, the actress stunned the
packed audience when she declared 'I
love you and miss you' on stage!
Looking absolutely smashing in a
shimmering gown, Deepika promoted
'Chennai Express' with co-star Shah Rukh
Khan at the awards. She also gave a
fabulous performance of a medley of her
hit numbers from 'Cocktail', 'Race 2' and 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani'.
The surprise came when the award of the
Best Jodi was announced. Deepika and
Ranbir won the trophy for 'Yeh Jawaani
Hai Deewani'. The surprising aspect was
that the awards were actually held to
honour films of 2012 while 'YJHD' was released a few weeks ago, in 2013!
However, this little detail hardly
mattered as Deepika walked onto the
stage to receive the award sans Ranbir
who was unfortunately missing in action
at IIFA this year. As soon as she was
given the award, Deepika made her speech where she mentioned the film
and thanked Ranbir for all the support he
had given her and complementing her so
well on screen. She ended it with 'Love
you Ranbir and miss you'!
Whether she meant it casually as a way
to end her acceptance speech or if there
was something to be read between the
lines is something only the gorgeous
actress can tell!
