Bollywood stars welcomed the Bombay High Court's judgement of granting bail to Suraj Pancholi, who was arrested on June
10 for allegedly abetting the suicide of
actress Jiah Khan. Here's what they said:
Arshad Warsi: '3 CHEERS to Justice Sadhna Jadhav for giving Suraj Pancholi
bail. There is hope left in this country.'
Mini Mathur: 'Isnt it unfair that Suraj Pancholi spent 20 days in jail because the
police played judge & jury on his case
without any conclusive evidence? There
were others who contributed to poor Jiah
Khans depression too. Why weren't they
also put behind bars till they were proven innocent?'
Sanjay Gupta: 'What I have said from the very beginning! It's terrible that a young
boy had to go through hell. SHAME! And
how helpless was Suraj's family thanks to
the draconian policies of our Police?
Ashamed to call them 'our'. Chalo
anyways it's a wonderful morning, Suraj is home, his family finally breathing easy
and we all have a fab day to look forward
to :-)'
