Salman's Kick kicks of in Glasgow on July 27

Rubbishing and refuting reports in a
section of the press that Salman Khan's
next project Kick has been delayed
because of the star's hit-and-run case
hearing, producer Sajid Nadiadwala who
turns director with this high-voltage actioner says the film is very much on
schedule.

"We were always supposed to start on
July 27, and we're starting on 27th," said
Sajid from London.

We hear the Scottish city has been
selected for its rugged outdoors. Says a
source close to Sajid, "Sajid wanted the
locations to be completely unexposed. He
intends to film some unique action
sequences in Glasgow. Lately Salman has avoided doing heavy-duty stunts because
of his neurological condition. But this
time Salman would be performing all the
stunts himself. Sajid has taken all
precautions to ensure Salman's safety."

Mallika to shoot for Bachelorette India in August

Mallika Sherawat who hasn't been seen
much in film these days will soon be seen
on the small screen with her reality show.
The show which is an adaptation of The
Bachelorette, titled Mere Khayalon Ki
Mallika, had been announced way back.

Now we hear that Mallika has finally
given dates to begin the shoot of the
show. When we contacted Mallika's
manager Rakyesh, he confirmed the news
saying, "Yes Mallika will begin shooting
for the Indian version of The Bachelorette in August. However apart
from this there
are no other details that can be revealed
about the show."

While Ms. Sherawat has given her dates
for the second week of August the
auditions for the show have already
begun in full swing. Announced in April
the show, will trace the leggy damsel's
search for her Mr. Right.

"Salman and SRK just greeted each other" - Sohail Khan

By now we all know that SalmanKhan and ShahRukh Khan hugged at
politician Baba Siddiqui's Iftaar party on Sunday evening.

However, according to sources it would be foolhardy and utterly
unrealistic to presume that that the cold war between the two Khans is
over.

"Far from it," says a source close to Salman, "Bhai has said many
times in the past that he would never again be friends with Shah Rukh.
Their differences are irreconcilable. And that's how it remains.
The hug at the Iftaar party just happened because of circumstances.
Neither Bhai nor Shah Rukh could say no to their host when he led
Salman to Shah Rukh. They've the highest regard for him. And that's
why they were both there at the same place at the same time. It was
only because of the host that Bhai made that gesture. There is nothing
more to it."

Adds Salman's brother Sohail who was present at the supposedly
historic patch- up. "They just greeted each other. There is nothing
more to it."

Several mutual friends of the warring Khan superstars have tried to
bring them together. The most recent is Katrina Kaif, a close friend
of Salman, she worked with Shah Rukh for the first time last year in
Yash Chopra's Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

"Katrina tried to explain to Salman that Shah Rukh is a nice guy. But
Salman won't listen to anyone about patching up with Shah Rukh," says
a source.

9 Films to be released this Friday, Poonam Pandey main attraction

As many as 9 films are going to be fighting it out at the box-office
this week. From famous model aka cricket fan Poonam Pandey to star kid
Tanuj, all will try their luck. Then there is multi-starrer laugh riot
Bajate Raho.

Nasha: Poonam's big screen ticket is directed by Amit Saxena who
directed Bipasha Basu to voluptuous heights in Jism. Will Nasha work
the same jadoo and nasha for Poonam? The producers Aditya Bhatia and
Surinder Suneja of Ms Pandey's debut film Nasha are leaving no stone
unturned to generate renewed interest in her colourful personality.

Love U Soniyo: In comparison Rati Agnihotri's son Tanuj makes his debut but
he can't compete with Poonam Pandey in getting attention. After the
excessively- publicised debut of producer Kumar Taurani's son Girish
Kumar last week, Tanuj has wisely chosen to slip gently into the movie
business. Says Tanuj, "It's not an ideal situation for any of the nine
films. Speaking for my film Love U Soniyo we've tried to make a good
honest film and hopefully our film would stand out in the crowd." The
film also marks the debut of model and beauty queen Neha Hinge.

Issaq: Manish Tiwari's Issaq is a very promising take on Shakespeare's
Romeo & Juliet which stars Prateik (who is in desperate need of a
career resurrection) and debutante Amyra Dastur. It is the season of
love as the makers are hoping this goes the Raanjhanaa and Yeh Jawaani
Hai Deewani way...

Bajatey Raho: Eros International's big- ticket comedy with Bollywood's
own Laurel and Hardy Vinay Pathak and Ranvir Shorey joining hands with
Tusshar Kapoor for a melee of masti. Adding to the mirth worth of the
comedy is costume designer- actress Dolly Ahluwalia who has discovered
a kind of stardom after Vicky Donor. Looks like a load of fun. This is
director Sushant Shah's third film with Vinay after Challo Dilli and
Dasvidaniya.

Buddha: A biopic with newcomer Abhishek Urade in the title role. New
director Praveen Damle is at the helm of this modestly budgeted
biopic.

Ek Bura Aadmi: New director Ishraq Shah's political drama Ek Bura
Aadmi, is a rough, rugged actioner set in the North Indian hinterland.
The film has an interesting cast that includes Arunodoy Singh and Kitu
Gidwani.

Oops-a-Daisy: Debutant director Jenner Jose's Oops-a-Daisy, has an
entirely new cast of unknowns. It takes guts to release something like
this on an over-crowded Friday.

Planes: The Pixar-Disney animation film Planes dubbed into Hindi with
Priyanka Chopra as the protagonist's voice, is also hitting theatres
this Friday.

Main Hoon Surya Singham 2: The dubbed Hindi version of the Tamil
Singham's sequel with Surya and Anushka Shetty should find takers
among those who love the Singham series. Hari directs.

To add to the woes of the clogged turnstiles this Friday, the new
edition of the global smash hit Wolverine franchise also hits theatres
this Friday. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh feels this overloaded Friday
spells disaster for the Indian box-office. "It is sheer hara-kiri.
Doesn't make any business sense. Why this hurry to release so many
films? Where are the theatres to accommodate so many films? How many
shows can each film get? Why act in haste and repent on Monday? When
will we learn from our mistakes?" Taran feels the average movie-goer
cannot accommodate so many films in his budget. He adds, "Does the
common man have the time, money or inclination to watch so many films?
And when films flop we blame everyone except ourselves."

Ayan Mukerji gets a fat cheque to direct 3 ads.

Ayan Mukerji is on a roll. After the super
success of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, the
director has been paid a whopping
amount for a cola brand. It is said that
Ayan's deal is to direct 3 ads for the cola
brand. However his best friend Ranbir Kapoor is a part of a rival cola brand. So
looks like the director-actor duo are
pitted against each other in the world of
cola wars.

Priyanka Chopra's debut single 'Exotic'

organizer of the Guinness International
Champions Cup, in conjunction with
Interscope Geffen A&M and Universal
Music.

actress and winner of the 2000 Miss
World pageant, is diving into the
international music scene with her new

pop, dance track 'Exotic' which includes vocals from international musical
sensation, Pitbull. Before her foray into
music, Chopra appeared in over 40 films;
she also writes columns for Indian
national newspapers and was appointed

long soccer fan, Chopra's musical
partnership with the Guinness
International Champions Cup is the latest
development in her successful,
international career. Chopra's 'Exotic' video featuring Pitbull premiered on
VEVO last week.

The Guinness International Champions
Cup, organized by Relevent Sports, a

England and the United States.

Hrithik delays Bang Bang and Shuddhi

Hrithik Roshan is on the recovery road
since his brain surgery. However it is
learnt that the actor has been asked to
stay away from shooting till November by
the doctors. Considering this the actor's
dates for his next two films, Bang Bang and Shuddhi, have been shifted post
November. Though the actor will not
shoot but he will be seen promoting
Krrish 3 during its release.

Caught! Katrina Kaif, Ranbir Kapoor in Sri Lanka

After holidaying in Spain, Bollywood actors and rumoured lovers
Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor have
been spotted again - this time in Sri Lanka. The stars, like
many others before them, aren't talking but giving us all
the right hints.

If red is the colour of love then the two were rather
colour-cooridnated as they were sighted in red clothes in
the island country. Ranbir Kapoor is in Sri Lanka to
prepare for his role in Anurag Kashyap's Bombay Velvet and Katrina
Kaif is reportedly accompanying him- atleast
till work commitments come calling. The shooting of her
upcoming film Bang Bang has been delayed due to her co- star Hrithik
Roshan's surgery and that's why Katrina is
spending some quality time with Ranbir.

And while their photographs were clicked at a coffee
shop in Sri Lanka, the two also enjoyed a workout session
together with Ranbir's trainer. Not so long ago the duo
were clicked in Spain while holidaying in Ibiza and while
Ranbir has maintained his single status in the past, these
pictures by Stardust magazine tell another story.

But if you are waiting for an announcement from the two,
it looks like there's a slim chance of that happening. Of
the many reasons one could think of, the truth is that they
have been involved in very public relationships in the past.
Dating a superstar like Salman Khan was never easy.
From birthdays to brawls Katrina saw them all. The media circus around
it was immense. Ranbir too has gone
through the same. He may have scored at the box office
with Deepika Padukone in the movie Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani recently
but once upon a time things were bitter.

So while the two are public personalities, they are
perhaps looking for a rather private personal life. Since
Kat has now bagged another superstar, we think the
circus has just begun.

Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone outfits in Chennai Express to be auctioned

The outfits donned by Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in
forthcoming film Chennai Express will be auctioned, and proceedings
from the sale
will go for a charity.

The auction will take place around the
movie's release on August 9. The film is
directed by Rohit Shetty, and it is said to be
an action romantic comedy.

A source close to the team said, "People
are really appreciating the different look
that is donned by the actors in the film.
With so much appreciation, the makers are
planning to auction some of the costumes
from the film and extend the proceedings for charity."

Anil Kapoor: Hope Salman Khan does not have to serve jail term

Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor today hoped his superstar-friend Salman
Khan, charged with culpable homicide not
amounting to murder in the 2002 hit-and-
run case, does not have to serve long years
in jail.

If convicted of culpable homicide, the 47-
year-old star faces up to 10 years in jail. "It
is a court matter so it is not fair to
speculate on things. But I hope nothing like
(10 years in jail) happens.

My heart says nothing will happen," Anil
Kapoor said at an event in Mumbai when asked
to give his reaction on the charges framed
against Salman by a local court earlier in
the day.

Anil Kapoor and Salman have shared
screen space in films like Deewana Mastana, Biwi No.1, No Entry, Salam-E-Ishq,
YuvrajM and Wanted.
