Katrina Kaif's cinematic journey

The British born lady ventured into India to make her
career in Bollywood. With baby like
smile but intelligent more than
anybody she had the confidence to
make it big in the struggling Industry
and she did.

Today we recall her with the names
like Chikni Chameli and Sheila of
Bollywood who can surpass any tinsel
town diva in terms of act or dance.

Katrina Kaif! The golden lady has
turned 30 today and there is no
looking back for her after achieving so
much in Bollywood.

We peek into her cinematic journey so
far, which has seen lesser flaws but
bigger accomplishments. Her birth tale
somewhat resembles her highly
acclaimed flick 'Namaste London',
where she played a half Indian and half British daughter to her desi
parents but in real life the actress is
born to an Indian Kashmiri father and
a British mother.

Kat started her career with modeling
in fashion shows in London, which
brought her into focus and gave her
first chance to venture into Bollywood
though a dud. In Boom she romanced
with age old actors like Gulshan Grover and Amitabh Bachchan. The flick was
highly criticized but it didn't perturb
her adamant motives. The actress
tried to stick to the Mayanagiri of
Mumbai pursuing her modeling career
there and was caught by the eyes of Ram Gopal Verma who roped her in
Sarkar. The flick proved hit and she
became noticeable.

When she starred opposite Salman
Khan in Maine Pyar Kyu Kiya, buzz
surrounded that the two are hit by the
cupid's arrow and it's because of
Dabangg Khan that Kat got the offer.
The duo too gave an acceptance to their relationship.

Thereafter Katrina's career took a
flying start with Akshay Kumar. The
two starred in 'Humko Deewana Kar
Gaye' which did a moderate business
at Box Office. But the very next year
they had a commercially hit flick in the name of 'Namaste London' and there
was no looking back for Katrina
thereafter.

A series of hit flicks by the two
followed namely, Singh is King,
Welcome, De Dana Dan.

In 2009, Katrina starred opposite John
Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh in
New York. The actress was highly
acclaimed for her performance in the
flick which for the first time ever
made her nominee for the best actress at Filmfare Awards. In the same year,
she worked with Ranbir Kapoor in
Rajkumar Santoshi's comedy drama
'Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani' and
with this, rumours surrounded their
relationship as till then she had broken off with Salman Khan.

In 2010, the duo again was seen in yet
another flick titled 'Rajneeti', which
was again a hit at Box Office. By the
end of the year Katrina's first item
number 'Sheila Ki Jawani' in Tees Maar
Khan was a chartbuster and it even left behind Malaika Arora's Munni
Badnam Hui in terms of popularity.

In 2011, Zoya Akhtar's 'Zindagi Na
Milegi Dobara' the actress gave a fine
performance and for the first time she
gave an onscreen kiss which also
brought many of her admirers to
theatres.

Katrina kicked off 2012 with a Lavani
number 'Chikni Chameli' in Agneepath
which was a hit. Later in the year she
once again shared screen with her ex-
boyfirend Salman Khan in Kabir Khan's
'Ek Tha Tiger' which turned out to be the second highest grosser of
Bollywood after Aamir Khan's '3
Idiots'. Ek Tha Tiger was mostly in
buzz because it was Kat-Salman's first
movie post break up.

Same year Kat worked with Shahrukh
Khan is Yash Chopra's last romantic
saga 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan'. Her kiss with
SRK in the flick was again the talk of
the town.

This year the actress will be seen in an
action mode with Amir Khan in a
highly anticipated flick of the year
'Dhoom 3' while there is another
action drama lined up opposite Hrithik
Roshan titled 'Bang Bang'.

For today it's party time for Katrina
Kaif as we wish her a very happy
Birthday.

The full History behind Shahrukh-Salman enmity

We are all aware of
the enmity that exists
between two leading
superstars of
Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan. The truth is once upon a
time, the two Khans were like brothers.
They were the best buddies in Bollywood
industry. They did a number of films
together like Karan Arjun, Kuch Kuch
Hota Hain etc. So how did these two
become each others arch rivals? When did this all start? Here it is.

The day was the 17 of July 2008, and also Katrina Kaif's birthday. At that point
Katrina happened to be Salman's
girlfriend. The two got into a very serious
and heated verbal conversation when
Shahrukh Khan happened to remark
about Salman's ex, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Things got serious when the
situation turned ugly. The snide remark
about Salman's ex-girlfriend had angered
him to a great extent. Things got ugly
when the news came out in open. The
media went berserk on the news, and this news was shown on every single
television channel. When the fight
between the two was at its peak, the
ladies, Gauri and Katrina came between
them to calm things down. However,
although they calmed down, the deed was down. The friendship that existed
between the two was broken, and
probably would never be mended.

Sources also say that Salman had asked
Shahrukh to do a guest role in his film
Main aur Mrs. Khanna, which had been
declined by Shahrukh. This too had
offended the actor to a great extenet as
he had expected that being a friend Shahrukh would agree to do the role.
After the brawl between the two,
several assumptions started cropping up.
Since the entire thing happened at a
party, people commented that both the
actors were probably high, and whatever happened was the effect of alcohol. Many
people also say that Salman had started
irritating Shahrukh about the reality
shows that the two were doing at that
time. Salman started bugging Shahrukh
about his show, Dus Ka Dum, being more popular than Shahrukh's show, Kya Aap
Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain?

All we can see is that, no matter what
has happened, the two did not come
together ever again. Although Shahrukh
has publicly apologized to Salman in a
show, Koffee with Karan, the entire act
was seen as a TRP rising act by Salman. The war is right now in the open;
everybody in India and even outside
India knows about it. We all hope that a
day will arrive when the two will be
seen together again like the old times.

Honey Singh's Bollywood comeback with 'Bajatey Raho'

Honey Singh has managed to gather
himself all over again after a
controversy which broke down around
the New Year's Eve, threatened to
spoil the party. After a hiatus of six
months, he would be back in action for 'Bajatey Raho' for which he has given
music, written and sung a number.

"It was period of turmoil when a FIR
was lodged against Honey Singh. It
was alleged that he had written
offensive lyrics for a song titled
'Balatkaari'. There was a widespread
protest against the rapper and post an online campaign, his New Year
concert was also cancelled by a
prominent hotel. Though it had earlier
seemed that all was lost for Honey
Singh, he decided to keep low," an
observer states.

The incident didn't deter either
director Shashant Shah or producer
Krishika Lulla to abort their
association with Honey Singh. They
continued with their original plan and
the song in question, 'Kudi Tu Butter', was retained as is.

"They further went ahead and shot the
song with Tusshar Kapoor and
Vishakha Singh in a prominent
amusement park at Delhi," our source
adds, "They had a beautiful song to
their disposal which was as clean as it gets, unlike the naughty image that
Honey Singh carries. Also, he has sung
this song in entirety instead of just
coming up with a brief rap portion. It
is a highlight of the soundtrack."

To everyone's good fortune, since
Punjab and Haryana High court has
dismissed all the cases filed against
Honey Singh while stating that there
was no proof of him actually singing
the derogatory song in question, the singer too is back in action.

"After giving few chartbusters in a
row last year, like 'Lonely' [Khiladi
786], 'Main Sharaabi' [Cocktail] and
'Rani Tu Main Raja' [Son of Sardaar], he
was pretty much on a roll before this
untoward incident at the fag end of the year curtailed his progress," says a
common associate, "Anyways, he is
back in the thick of things now. 'Kudi
Tu Butter' is just a starting point, there
is a lot more to come in months to
come."

Says Shashant, "Krishika Lulla and
Rajesh Banga got Honey Singh on
board for this song which I instantly
liked on hearing it for the first time
itself."

Krishika has the final word, "Honey
Singh knows the pulse of younger
generation and over time he has
proven that with his songs. We have
worked with him in many movies. He
has now sung this one instead of rapping."

Nagarjuna amazed by Amitabh Bachchan's energy

Noted southern actor Nagarjuna says he
is in awe of megastar Amitabh Bachchan
and surprised by his energy and passion
for work.

"He is a legend... I am in awe of him.
Even at this age he has so much energy
and passion, there is fire in his eyes. It is
always a learning experience with him,"
Nagarjuna, who has teamed up with
Bachchan for an advertisement, told reporters in Mumbai today.

The south star had earlier worked with
Big B in Khuda Gawaah. "It's been like 20
years and he is just the same, energetic,
positive, hard working," he said.

When asked if he is looking to make a
comeback in Bollywood, Nagarjuna said
he does not believe in the concept but
will take a call if anything interesting
comes up.

Nagarjuna is happy with the remake
trend of south films in Hindi and vice
versa. "It is a healthy sign... it shows our
culture is same. Films of north and south
are liked by audience of both the
regions," he said.

But personally, Nagarjuna would not like
to remake any film.

better.

Farhan Akhtar's alluring performance as
Milkha Singh has impressed both critics

panned fir being too lengthy.

Sonam Kapoor has done a cameo in the
movie.

Kareena Kapoor to shoot love scene with Emraan Hashmi

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan kissed her then-beau Shahid
Kapoor in Jab We Met and even shot for bold scenes in Heroine. This
time the actress seems to be going yet another step
ahead to get cosy with Emraan Hashmi in
her next film. According to sources, Bebo
has given her nod for an intimate scene
with Emraan. In fact, the makers were in
for a surprise when the actress gave the go-ahead.

A source from the unit says, "Producer Ekta
Kapoor was very keen that Kareena does
the film but was not sure if she would
agree for the explosive love-making scene.
She convinced Kareena that the scene was
quite significant to the storyline. Bebo being a professional gave her nod right
away."

Apparently initially Kareena had some
date issues after which, the makers
contacted Deepika Padukone for the role.
The producers however soon went back to
Bebo after which the logistics were
worked out. Kareena remained unavailable for comment.

In the past, Bebo has shot cosy scenes with
other co-stars as ,including With then-beau
Saif Ali Khan in Kurbaan. She also kissed Aamir Khan in 3 Idiots and
got cosy with Arjun Rampal in Heroine. She also Kissed Akshay Kumar in
Kambakth Ishq and shot for a lovemaking scene with Ajay Devgn
for Omkara.

Sunny Leone's glam look in new film 'Jackpot'

Here is the first look of the Sunny
Leone and Sachiin Joshi-starrer
'Jackpot', directed by Kaizad Gustad
which is currently being shot in Goa.

Movie story is about three cons
outwitting one another. Sunny has
done a lot of intimate scenes in the
film including a lip-lock. Recently,
buzz was that Sunny is doing a
threesome with a new girl and Sachiin Joshi in the film, to which she
flatly refused and said she is not
interested in a trios onscreen. Reason
being she didn't want to loose her
Bollywood position by doing scenes
which could act as a reminder of her porn image.

Sachiin says, "Our film is about three cons
outwitting one another only to
lose and win again. It is a smart
game like the roulette where you
don't know where the next move
will take you. That is a threesome! With the three of us
matching our wits."

In her debut movie 'JISM 2' she looked
damn sexy and seductive, and got slim
for the movie as well. She has
maintained her sexy figure for her
upcoming movie 'Jackpot' too. Doesn't
she look stunning here?

Meanwhile there are no reports on
Sunny Leone's much-publicized movie
'Ragini MMS 2'.

Comment about her look. Do you like
it ??

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag: 1st Monday Box Office Collections

its 1st Monday at the Domestic Box
Office. The film after earning over 33 crores in its openings weekend,
earned 5.75 crores on its 1st Monday. With that, the film's total
income rests at 39.10 crores at the Box Office.

Farhan Akhtar's alluring performance as
Milkha Singh has impressed both critics
and audiences alike. Due to the film's
magnanimous budget of 50 crores, the pace is justified as average and the film
will have to earn a lump sum before
treading into the hit zone!

Farhan Impresses Chiranjeevi, Rajinikanth With Bhaag Milkha Bhaag

legendary actors of the South as well.
Actors Rajinikanth and Chiranjeevi made
a personal attempt to reach out to
Farhan and congratulated him on his
enthralling work after watching merely the film's trailer.

Farhan was humbled when both

their eagerness to watch the film that
has an inspiring premise based on the
life of world famous athlete Milkha
Singh.

The film's spokesperson affirmed, "Yes,
Rajinikanth and Chiranjeevi both have
reached out to us and expressed their
wish to watch the film. We are
overwhelmed with the fabulous
response the film is getting."

The fabulous word of the mouth is
having a positive impact on the
performance of the movie in terms of
box office as well.

Song Review: Priyanka Chopra’s Exotic

Looks like the milkshake and the bikini,
nothing helped P.C's new track Exotic. With misleading lyrics about tropics that
seem straight out of my class 8
Geography book, it banters about moving
off to Fidel Castro's land for reasons that
logic can't justify.

The Hindi bits of the song will traumatize
you as they will almost compel you to
picture Govinda doing the Tujhko Mirchi
Lagi Toh Main Kya Karoon step. Priyanka
by pepping up and anglicizing the most
odd lyrics, the erotic bikini show was a necessity for the song to make its
presence felt among the audiences.

The worst part of the song is that P.C's
music is embarrassing the famous rapper
Pitbull. Heavily misplaced, Pitbull drops
into the song out of the blue and begins
rapping in what comes across as a
gibberish fashion. Long before the viewer has absorbed the desi tinge in
this 'international' song, Pitbull makes
his confusing entry.

The attires of the two are so starkly
different that it is more amusing than
shocking. Pitbull in his trademark suit
and Priyanka in the swimsuit, the song
swishes swiftly from one location to
another. I wish they had stuck to the picturesque locations to reason out why
they decided to name the track Exotic.

There is one not-to-miss thing about the
track. You must have a look at PC,
flaunting the florescent green swimwear
so fashionably that you will be spellbound
at her audacious sense of dressing. Oh,
the swimwear is so sleazy and incorrigible that the Lord of fashion
might even think of it as blasphemy.

As someone who is so appreciative of her
work, dearest Piggy Chops darling, we
prefer you doing tender roles in films like
Barfi than wasting your caliber
demonstrating to the world your
wannabe vein so unabashedly. Focus li'l girl, focus!

Shah Rukh Khan's 'Deewana' set to return

Filmmaker Guddu Dhanoa is
gearing up to take the Shah Rukh Khan
starrer 'Deewana' ahead.

'Deewana', a 1992 romantic film, was
directed by Raj Kanwar and produced by
Guddu Dhanoa. It starred Rishi
Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan and the late
Divya Bharti.

"We are making a romantic film, but it is
a completely different story. We are
using the title 'Deewana' but something
would be added to the title. It is like how
Bhatt's are making films like 'Murder',
'Jannat' I am also doing something similar," Dhanoa told PTI.

Dhanoa revealed that the script is ready
and they are in search of a suitable star
cast.

"We are in talks with actors but nothing
is finalised yet," he said without
divulging any names.

Alia Bhatt loved Sonakshi Sinha- Ranveer Singh's 'Lootera'

Watching 'Lootera' has left an
impact on young actress Alia Bhatt, who
now wants to do a period film. She is not
lured in just for the story, but also for the
kind of style and look that it promises.

"I would, at least once in my career, love
to do a period film. I think a period film
is not only very emotional and very
dramatic, the kind of fashion you get to
do is outstanding," the 20-year-old said
here Monday at the unveiling of the cover of Harper's Bazaar magazine
featuring her.

"It's ostentatious, beautiful, vibrant and
everything is detailed. So I would love to
do a period film, not only for the role, but
also for fashion, "she added.

Alia even had a special word of mention
for the recently released Sonakshi Sinha
and Ranveer Singh-starrer 'Lootera', the
story of which is set in 1950s.

"Of course, I love 'Lootera'. If you see,
'Lootera' is very beautiful. Every scene is
delicate and yet stands out in your face,"
Alia said.

Talking about the kind of films she
wants to do in her career, Alia said: "I
have an idea of the different kind of
films I want to do. I just want to do lots
of films and everything should be
different, something that challenges me and caters to the need of the
audience as
well."

Alia has finished shooting for Imtiaz Ali's
'Highway' with Randeep Hooda. She is
currenly shooting for '2 States' with
Arjun Kapoor.

Himesh Reshammiya to compose music for Salman Khan starrer Kick

Noted producer Sajid Nadiadwala has
signed Himesh Reshammiya to
compose music for his debut
directorial venture 'Kick'. Starring Salman Khan alongside Jacqueline
Fernandez and Randeep Hooda,
shooting of Kick is all set to start in
London from the last week of July.
This will be the first time that Sajid
Nadiadwala is working with Himesh
Reshammiya. Anu Malik has been Nadiadwala's favorite composer over
the years as he had composed for
'Judwaa', 'Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega'
and 'Jaanemann'. Sajid has also
worked with Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy for
'Heyy Babby' and 'Housefull' while Salman's favorite duo Sajid-Wajid
have composed the music for
Nadiadwala's 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi'
and 'Housefull 2'.

Himesh Reshammiya's career started
when Salman gave him break in his home production 'Pyaar Kiya To Darna
Kya' in 1998. Reshammiya became a
regular composer for Khan as he went
on to give music for movies like 'Tere
Naam', 'Maine Pyaar Kyon Kiya',
'Dulhan Hum Le Jaayenge', 'Kahin Pyaar Naa Ho Jaaye' and 'Hello
Brother'. They both parted ways when
Himesh wanted to pursue his career in
singing and acting fields as well. But
both were back together with
'Bodyguard' in 2011.

Kick's screenplay has been written by
Chetan Bhagat while the dialogs are
penned by Rajat Arora. A remake of
Telugu movie with the same name,
Kick is scheduled for an Eid, 2014
release.

Katrina Kaif opposite Saif Ali Khan in Kabir Khan's next

After 'Race', Saif Ali Khan and Katrina
Kaif are all set to star together again
in Kabir Khan's next directorial
venture. The movie is reportedly
based on S. Hussain Zaidi's book.
Katrina has become choosy and particular about her work as 'Dhoom
3' will be her only release this year.
Saif's latest release 'Go Goa Gone'
failed to impress audience but he has
an exciting list of upcoming movies
including 'Bullet Raja' with Tigmanshu Dhulia, 'Humshakal' with Sajid Khan
and Kabir Khan's next.

This will be fourth directorial movie of
Kabir Khan after 'Kabul Express', 'New
York' and 'Ek Tha Tiger' and will
follow his favorite genre of hard-
hitting thrillers. Katrina has earlier
worked with Kabir in 'New York' and 'Ek Tha Tiger'. Released in 2012, 'Ek
Tha Tiger' became the second highest
grossing movie of Bollywood
collecting more than 190 crores from
India alone.

Phata Poster Nikla Hero To Have A Nargis Fakhri Item Number!

Now that the trailer of Shahid
Kapoor's upcoming film 'Phata Poster
Nikla Hero' has released, the news is
that Rockstar fame, the sizzling
sensation Nargis Fakhri has been
roped in to do an item number for the film. This would be the first time the
beauty will do an item song for a film.
Recently, we saw a glimpse of her in
her new movie 'Madras Cafe'.

Directed by popular film director
Rajkumar Santoshi, the film is about a
cop who wants to become a hero in
Bollywood movies. Rajkumar Santoshi
will try to recreate the magic of 'Ajab
Prem Ki Gajab Kahani' with this movie.

Though the details of the item song
have been closely guarded, a source
told us that in this song Nargis will be
seen shaking a leg with Shahid and
will be presented in an all new
avatar. The music will be composed by Pritam and the song will be
choreographed by Bosco-Cesar.

The film also stars Ileana D'cruz as
lead actress. We are eagerly waiting
for the song!

Sanjay Gupta To Make Crime Trilogy!

Yes, the news is right. Director Sanjay
Gupta, who had struck gold at the box
office with his movie 'Shootout At
Wadala' starring John Abraham, is
now all set to make the third
installation of the popular series. The next film is all set to star Ajay Devgn
in the lead role if sources are to be
believed. He also plans to make
another crime trilogy named "Mumbai
Saga".

The director said," Although the
Shootout series is my dream
project, my next project is also
very special to me. Mumbai Saga
will also be based on true events
of the city of Mumbai, although this time I will be keeping the
real names secret to avoid any
kind of problem."

Reportedly, Sanjay narrated the script
to Ajay, who is famous for picking up
great roles and being very choosy
about the scripts. The Singham star
loved the storyline and immediately
told the director to begin working on the production.

This new saga will have also have the
likes of John Abraham and Abhishek
Bachchan along with actor Ajay
Devgn. It seems that we have another
hit series in the making.
