make her Bollywood debut in Farah
Khan's latest directorial venture.
Lokhande rose to fame in the Ekta
Kapoor soap opera Pavitra Rishta. She
also participated in the fourth series of
celebrity dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
Filmmaker Farah Khan is yet to officially
confirm the casting of Lokhande.
However, the director previously said
that rumours surrounding the casting of
Indian actress Jennifer Winget as the
female lead were false.
"Jennifer Winget is not the heroine of
Happy New Year... never met her,
haven't tested her. Who spreads these
rumours?" tweeted Khan.
Lokhande is the long-term girlfriend of Kai Po Che! actor Sushant
Singh Rajput. Happy New Year is due to begin filming
in September.
