Trailer Analysis: Madras Cafe

The trailer of Madras Cafe begins with a music that resounds with spookiness of
tragedy. The calamitous air introduces
this political thriller that from frame one
is hard to not immerse yourself ill.
Shoojit Sircar with Vicky Donor elaborated his prowess, and with Madras
Cafe he is all set to experiment a
paradigm shift. The film's political thriller
premise has lead actor John Abraham
playing an undercover officer in Jaffna.
Dealing with the volatile socio-political of Sri Lanka, the film must
have required
volumes of research in its conception as
well as scripting stage!

Nargis Fakhri plays the international
journalist with conviction! Blunt in her
words and fearless in her manner, she
exclaims in a scene that criticizing
national policies doesn't make her anti-
national. To quote the gist of a popular Japanese classic Rashomon, truth isn't
singular but pluralistic with its zest
differing as per perceptions and values.

Created on the background of Civil War
with guerrilla forces descending, the
pulsating factor here is engaging. With
declaration of Code Red, the calamity
factor multiples and the trailer could only
make you want to watch the film even more.

Slated for a release on 23rd August,
Madras Cafe will unravel the mysteries
of a troubled story that remains
marginalized, ostracized and untold!
