Anil Kapoor Show 24 Starts October 4; Sonam Kapoor In Second Season!

Actor Anil Kapoor-starrer serial '24' will
go on air from October 4. Kapoor is
making his television debut with the
Indian adaptation of the hit
international TV series of the same
name.

The show will be aired every Friday and
Saturday at 10 pm on Colors. "I am
getting nervous to announce the show
date. It is a great moment of my life.
There is excitment.... I am thankful,
grateful to all actors, technicians and others. They all have given their sweat
and blood," Kapoor told reporters.

When asked if Sonam Kapoor might act
in the show, Anil said, " Sonam Kpaoor
might do 24 show season 2. If she fits
the character he will ask her and if she
wants she can be the part of the show.
But he also said just because of him Sonam will not do the show. Only of she
thinks she wants to do it then only she
will say yes."

Raj Nayak, CEO of Colors channel,
revealed that Kapoor was nervous about
the press conference today as he had
earlier sent him a message, asking to
push it off by a week. "We had to drop
shows for '24'. We feel this show suits weekend slot," he added.

"I have had a lot of peaks in my career,
but there are certain moments that you
want to soak in and this is that moment.
I feel this is the greatest moment of my
life," said the actor. "We thought weekend slot should be
good. All the working people can come
home and watch it. It was a strategy to
get both Salman Khan (as 'Bigg Boss 7'
host) and Anil Kapoor back to back," Raj
Nayak, chief executive-Colors, told reporters at the press meet here.

The serial also features Mandira Bedi,
Tisca Chopra, Neil Bhoopalam, Rahul
Singh, while Anupam Kher, Shabana
Azmi and Rahul Khanna would also be
seen in cameos. Kapoor plays the lead
role of 'anti-terrorism unit' chief Jai Singh Rathod and the series will narrate
the 24 hours of his life over 24 episodes.
It is written by Rensil D'Silva and
directed by Abhinay Deo of `Delhi Belly'
fame.
